Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing
Liberty Canyon: temporary earth shoring for early bridge and abutment construction over US 101.
Agoura Hills, California
At the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing, early bridge and abutment construction along US 101 needed earth support before the southerly grading was complete.
Cefali & Associates designed temporary shoring for general contractor C.A. Rasmussen. Malcolm Drilling installed the support at the base of the crossing site.
Local conditions
The design used available Caltrans beams and allowed height to be added to the top of the shoring as grading backfilled the slope toward abutment level.
Engineering services
Explore the services used on documented local projects and the broader engineering work available for other site conditions.
